FMK members…We have been invited to attend this event and do a demonstration including weapons, and get the people watching to participate in punching, kicking, and if there is enough time maybe some simple, basic self defense. Other groups include Owego Gymnastics, Tai Chi, and a Tai Quan Do Instructor teaching punching mitts.
This event has grown to include over 50 agencies and radio remotes. Their theme is “health is not a spectator sport”. This event has been going on for a few years now and has been quite successful. The event will be at the Tioga County Fairgrounds (Marvin Park) on Route 17C, on the right side of the road immediately west of Owego. It's easy to find. Take the 2nd exit off Route 17 and go over the new bridge, go around the courthouse, and get on 17C. It's not even a mile from there.
